A postcard from me to you

An abstracted postcard was my best attempt at communicating with the “future.”
I started with the simple structure of lines and a rectangle for a stamp, and it morphed into something else! The collage has my thoughts wrapped up in a colorful scene.
There are secret bits of Korean letters, burger, and guacamole. What better way to capture rage, calm, and happiness, than a collage?

My interpretation of Dear Future
Dear Future: happy and sad at the same time. Will the future be even more hopeless and bleak than now? Where will I be when no one comes to visit my grave? Dear Future seemed selfish to me. I want a future where I can–I need to drop off grandma to the BBQ later. We had a great time.
